Step-by-Step Research Program Guidelines Strictly Following UGC Norms

1. Eligibility & Entrance Process

Master's Degree Master's degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university.
Entrance / NET Admission through University Entrance Test or valid UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / GATE score exemptions.
Interview / Viva Candidates shortlisted via entrance/NET must appear for a research proposal presentation and personal interview.
UGC Compliance Conducted strictly as per the latest University Grants Commission (UGC) minimum standards and procedures.

2. Ph.D. Course Work

Mandatory Credit All selected scholars must successfully complete a mandatory course work period (usually 1 semester).
Subjects Covered Includes Research Methodology, quantitative/qualitative techniques, computer applications, and review of published literature.
Evaluation Scholars must clear examinations in course work modules to officially confirm their registration.
Foundation Builds core academic writing, analytical skills, and research ethics required for thesis building.

3. Synopsis & Research Execution

Guide Allocation Allocation of an experienced Research Supervisor/Guide as per university seat matrix and specialization.
Synopsis Approval Drafting and presenting the research synopsis before the Research Advisory Committee (RAC).
Progress Reports Submitting regular half-yearly/annual progress reports detailing research milestones achieved.
Publications Fulfilling UGC-mandated research paper publication requirements in peer-reviewed or UGC-care listed journals.

4. Thesis Submission & Viva-Voce

Thesis Draft Drafting the final comprehensive thesis after completion of core findings and anti-plagiarism checks (Urkund/Turnitin).
External Evaluation Thesis evaluation by independent external examiners appointed by the university.
Open Defense Viva Conducting an open defense viva-voce examination in the presence of the supervisor and external expert.
Degree Award Official conferment of the Ph.D. degree at the university convocation.
